United States – On Monday, which is the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade ruling that was overturned by the Supreme Court, Vice President Harris is expected to point fingers at ex-President Trump for the development.
Campaign Rally in Maryland
Harris will attend a campaign rally in Maryland on the second anniversary of the US SC ruling regarding the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that returns the question of abortion to the states. The Biden-Harris campaign unveiled the event on Wednesday, as reported by The Hills.
Targeting Trump
“The Vice President will remind voters that Donald Trump is responsible for overturning Roe and the chaos that has followed, and she will highlight the threat a second Trump presidency would pose to reproductive freedom nationwide,” the campaign wrote in a statement.
Harris became the most vocal Biden administration figure supporting reproductive rights after Roe was overturned and traveled to different parts of the United States to talk to abortion supporters.
Fight for Reproductive Freedoms Tour
The vice president began a ‘Fight for Reproductive Freedoms’ tour in January; it highlights attempts to defend reproductive rights since 38 states have passed laws that restrict abortion in the last two years.
In the course of the tour and other rallies, Harris seems to point the finger at Trump for restrictive laws following Roe, as reported by The Hills.
Blaming Trump for Restrictive Laws
In the first debate held in Arizona in April, she countered that Trump is “gaslighting” on abortion and stated she would prevent another Trump presidency.
