United States – An autopsy report done on the deceased former One Direction singer Liam Payne showed that several poisonous products were detected in his systems. Payne passed on in his hotel room through hanging himself on the balcony as the report suggested that there were different types of drugs in Payne’s system and that of the other three, including the deadly pink cocaine, as reported by NBC News.
What is Pink Cocaine?
Well, it goes without saying that pink cocaine does not contain any of the substance known as cocaine. It is rather a mixture of such substances as ketamine, methamphetamine, Masterska, MDMA, opioids, and even new synthetic substances. In its definition WebMD says that the drug commonly used in Latin America known as tusi or tucibi may contain benzodiazepines, caffeine, hallucinogens, and bath salts. Pink is produced from Starch red or cherry food dye.
What happens when people take Pink Cocaine?
This makes it difficult to know how pink cocaine is going to impact an individual because it is entirely unpredictable. Their ingredients include depressants and stimulants, and since they cause confusion, hallucination, agitation and nausea, their use is quite dangerous. In some cases, the drug has been associated with cases of resultant violent behaviors, physical and sexual assaults as well as traumatic injuries.
In Payne’s case, a receptionist in a hotel called the police after a guest carrying out destructive activities in his room caused by alcohol and drugs. Subsequently, Payne tripped and fell from his third floor hotel balcony.
Post-Mortem Findings
The post-mortem examination revealed 25 lesions on Payne’s body, consistent with injuries from a significant fall. His death was attributed to polytrauma, including intercrural and extradural hemorrhages, as confirmed by the Argentina National Prosecutor’s office.
Is Pink Cocaine Dangerous?
Yes, pink cocaine is so dangerous as explained above. This has the disadvantage of the fact that users can in no way understand what it contains. While some batches have been found to contain the deadly fentanyl which is an opioid that has led to a number of fatal overdoses, as reported by NBC News.
The drug market is more dangerous than I have ever seen says Bridget Brennan, the special narcotics prosecutor for New York. She stressed that the higher risks are that users can’t be assured that they are getting what they assume they are, since the scenarios are fake.
